About Us

Our Mercantile and Cabins

We are a small tourist destination that was opened in the late 30's. We have made many changes with present owners for the last 30 years. We offer many tourist items in our Mercantile store along with our ice cream served on our homemade waffle cones, sweets (extensive candy line including homemade chocolates), sandwiches, and more.. We added 2 of our small cabins in 2016 and are working on the 3rd cabin now...

Around the Cabin Grounds

The Grounds around the “Cabins at Gobbler’s Knob” are still very much in the planning stages.  We have great plans but, each cabin at this point has access to a table and chairs in the front area that also has a grill and a fire pit to use.  The cabins are located next to a county road that gives direct access to parking spaces for your vehicle.  The cabins sit adjacent to our store so the back area is either a building or the back yard which is not developed at this time…Just green grass and a storage shed.  We are  bordered by shrubs that limit the access to our neighbors property.

Guests visit here to take advantage of the beautiful trails and scenery at Turkey Run Park.

They float down Sugar Creek and venture many times to Raccoon Lake to enjoy the beach.  They return in the evening to:
